Heritage Community Initiatives

4 Kids is a program of nonprofit Heritage Community Initiatives (formerly Heritage Health Foundation). For more than 25 years, Heritage has worked to transform individual lives and entire communities in some of the region’s most economically distressed areas.

In addition to early education, Heritage currently has three other key program areas.

WorkLink Community Van Service, providing (to date) more than 500,000 cost-free rides to workers living in isolated communities where hilly terrain prevents big-bus service. WorkLink connects people to mainline transit, job training, jobs, and vital support services, helping men and women become productive, tax-paying citizens.
Hospital Park Housing Initiative, renovating and building homes for low-income first-time buyers and helping them become successful homeowners for the long term.
Community and Economic Development, multi-faceted programs bringing vibrancy back to distressed communities. Our programs are creating work and job training opportunities; restoring neighborhoods; convening and facilitating community dialog and collaboration; preserving history; repairing environmental damage, and more.

In order to provide these services, Heritage relies on a range of funding sources, including other organizations, businesses, and caring individuals. Please help support our communities—Donate now!
