PITTSBURGH (12/10/2004) - 4 Kids sponsored a "Trash to Treasure Night" on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 which was funded through an Environmental Education grant by the Raymond John Wean Foundation.
In order to promote recycling, families were asked to use found and recycled materials to create art. The projects could be functional or just decorative. The families also created holiday ornaments.
Materials used included egg cartons, meat trays, cardboard tubes, felt, yarn, plastic bottles and containers, lids, cloth and film containers.
