Heritage Director Elected to Congress

PITTSBURGH (11/08/2006) - A member of the Board of Directors of Heritage Health Foundation, the parent organization of 4 Kids, has been elected to the U.S. Congress. Jason Altmire of McCandless, formerly acting vice president for government relations and community affairs at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, defeated incumbent 4th Congressional District Representative Melissa Hart in a close contest. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had endorsed Mr. Altmire, praising his stands on issues including the health insurance crisis and a higher minimum wage.
