Barnyard Day
PITTSBURGH (06/20/2004) -
Preschool Three learned about life on the farm. During this week, children made mosaic pigs, painted a mud pit with chocolate pudding, and played in the sensory table filled with corn, hay, and farm animals.
At the end of the week, the children took part in a special Barnyard Day celebration. They dressed in farm clothes, created and rode horses, ate food from the farm, and played pin the tail on the pig. They also bobbed for apples and painted with "udders" - paint-filled rubber gloves the children squeezed to simulate milking a cow.
The celebration ended after lunch, when all the cowboys and cowgirls rested after a hard day's work on the farm. |
