PITTSBURGH (07/19/2004) - 4 Kids has been working hard on enhancing our activities related to math, science, and environmental education. In order to help teachers use these more effectively in their classrooms, they participated in an in-service session on July 19.

Teachers spent the day in the woods surrounding Beechwood Farms. They took part in a workshop call Environmental Awareness, and learned about activties they can do with young children.

Following this session, and some much deserved rest, classroom teams competed in a scavenger hunt. They had to find a lemon-scented leaf, look under rocks, and name local animals. The winners, Preschool 1 and Preschool 3, each received a gift card for Uno's.
